Lab Activity 1B:

Objective: Install and Update Rocky Linux, then confirm setup and connectivity.

Your work will be assessed based on the following:

  1. A functioning virtual machine that you can log into
  2. The OS updated to the correct kernel version: 5.14.0-611.16.1.e19_7
  3. The vmtoolsd package installed, started and enabled to start on reboot
  4. Your IP address configured with your correct IP address based on group number and student number.
  5. Machine in correct network vlan based on being able to ping a different vm in your subnet.
